It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

That it took until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the chance.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a chance to produce her newest gem.

Certain people claim the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

"An opportunity to take the field and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was out her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the belief to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing competing nations at this World Cup should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

During that phase they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

However although she later admitted those injuries have postponed thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is anticipated as her last as captain in 50-over cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as captain.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
